Even amid all the controversy, I found this story of fiction to be relevant, heart wrenching and very well written! I would definitely recommend this book.
I understand it was written by a white woman, but it is a story of fiction not a documentary, and Cummings does an amazing job bringing attention to a very important topic. While the translations or descriptions may not be 100% accurate, the emotions the book evolves while reading it are very real and this is what matters! Without emotional attachment it’s easy to turn the other cheek.
