Tell Me Something Tuesday #268 Impulse Book Buys

Tell me something Tuesday is a weekly discussion post by our bookish friend Rainy Day Ramblings where a wide range of topics from books to blogging is discussed. Each week there is a new question.

Today’s question is: Are you an impulsive book buyer? (courtesy of Roberta@Offbeat YA)

I am most definitely an impulse book buyer as I have a lot of bookstagram made me do it buys! I tend to get serious FOMO when I see the same book over and over again on my feed. Even if it is not my usual go to genre. My last three impulse buys and why I bought them are below:

Do I even need to explain this buy? I mean it is the Sarah J. Maas! Seriously I am a fan of all her work so I HAD TO have this ASAP even though my TBR pile it toppling over. Not to mention this cover is incredible.

I kept seeing this all over my feed and other bookstagrammers were raving about it so of course I had to look into it as I do love some good historical romance. Who wouldn’t love a book in which “a fiercely independent vicar’s daughter takes on a duke in a fiery love story that threatens to upend the British social order” combined with the fact that I could order it through my Book of the Month subscription sealed the deal!

And last, but not least, this was definitely a FOMO buy! My lovely Bookish Ladies Club has been Zooming together to brighten our social distancing and of course, they decided to do a Zoom read a long. Do you think I was going to be left out of that?!? Nope! And I wanted the book anyway, so…..

There you have it. My last three impulse buys!

What books have you bought, if any, on impulse lately? Let’s share the love…who knows I might HAVE TO have one of your impulse buys too.
